At Royal Oak Farm, we board mares, foals, weanlings, yearlings, racehorses, sales prep and lay-ups. We will foal approximately 20 mares here at Royal Oak and take seasonal mares and foals. Our Bourbon Co. soil and limestone base is crucial to the nutrition and development of your bloodstock. We believe the sulfur well water also plays a role in the physical quality of the horses raised at Royal Oak Farm. Our conception rate is excellent and we raise big, good-boned, well muscled horses. We do much of the work ourselves and communicate directly with our clients. Please call us to come and see the farm and meet us. Sales Preparation
Royal Oak has a six horse Equicizer, but we also do quite a bit of hand walking and round pen work during sales prep. The key is developing excellent muscle, while keeping the horse healthy in body and mind. We do not "lock-up" our yearlings to get them looking good, but look at the long term health of the horse's body and mind.
Sales Representation
Royal Oak has a consignment all major North American sales, but focus mostly on the Keeneland and Fasig Tipton KY sales. We are know for being honest and forthcoming at the sales and present your horse to future buyers in the best possible light. Two things we specialize in are placing your yearling in a spot in the sale so that it has the chance to be one of the best offered on it's day and establishing excellent relationships with all buyers through honesty and hard work.
Lay-Ups
Royal Oak takes lay-ups off the track for short or long vacations. We treat any and all injuries and provide therapeutic treatment to allow your horse to return to the track in top form.
Royal Oak Farm Racing Stable
